My name is Alanna Furst, and I am a soprano and vocal teacher based in Stow, Ohio.

I have over a decade of experience teaching multiple styles of singing to students whose musical backgrounds run the gamut.  Beginner and advanced, avocational and professional, younger and older my goal is to guide any and all who desire to learn towards confidence and joy in their singing.

Lessons in this open and affirming studio are centered around each individual student’s needs.  During the first lesson, I will get to know your voice, and we will discuss your goals and interests in singing.  From there, technical exercises and repertoire are selected based on your technical, stylistic, and artistic needs.

No matter your goals, I will work to guide you to a healthy, sustainable sound that you will be able to use fully and artistically!

Lessons for students ages 12 and up are $35 per half-hour lesson or $70 per full-hour lesson.  Time slots are available Monday through Thursday in the late afternoon and early evening.

Testimonials

"Kind and welcoming, but sturdy and grounded in her teaching.  A compassionate teacher willing to dedicate her time towards actually investing in the lives and improvement of her students!  Would highly recommend to all friends and family, a true leader in the world of music and singing."

"I took vocal lessons with Alanna while in college a few years ago.  She was fantastic, and had I not moved away that year, I would have continued my lessons the following term.  She was highly professional and incredibly encouraging every step of the way, helping me conquer my fear of singing in front of people.  And to this day, I still find myself 'dropping the jaw' every time I sing!"
