I am a soprano and vocal teacher who is a lifelong resident of northeast Ohio. I love singing and the experiences that can be shared through the voice, which is why I was inspired to pursue collegiate studies and a career in music. I have always had an interest in how to use the voice to tell stories, but this exploded into a passion during my graduate studies and afterward as I became more adventurous in the works I chose to sing and how I chose to present them. My greatest hope for my teaching is to pass this spirit on to my students and help them become their full, confident, authentic, and artistic selves.
I hold Master’s degrees in Voice Performance and Choral Conducting, and I have also completed a significant amount of coursework in Music History and Music Education. Over the last 12 years, I have done a little bit of everything as a musician — solo work, choral singing and conducting, college voice professor, new music, vocal chamber music, ensemble administration…that’s a lot of hats I’ve worn! This breadth of experience lets me understand the demands on a singer in a variety of situations and on students with a wide range of musical experience.
I currently sing with the Video Game Symphony and Cinematic Symphony Orchestra Choirs in addition to teaching voice lessons from home.
